Has anyone ever tried to use 2 colors of tolex, using the overlapping technique, cut out some flames or large solid designs? I am wondering about seams and how they would look. Maybe router in a groove for beading around the flame for an outline effect.

Cutting Circles

Do you all have an good tip and tricks for cutting circles? In the few I have done, I can never seem to find the exact center of my circle and it comes out a little off. Any other good advice on genral circle cutting on the speaker baffle...

Router Bit Size

What size straight router bit and shank size should I use to make speaker holes in 3/4 mdf useing my jasper circle jig? my router can except both 1/2 shank and 1/4 (Ryobi RE180PL1 plunge router)...I was thinking the 1/2 would be best but I'm not sure on the length, width?

Marshall JCM 900 recover head and cab

Hello,this is a project I did for my guitar player in our band. He had bought a used Marshall 1960 slant 4x12 cab and a JCM 900 50 watt head,they had alot of life left in them but were pretty well banged up.I told him to let me get some new vinyl and grillcloth and turn these into something to be proud of.I stripped the head and cab,sanded both completely clean,installed purple elephant vinyl,and Marshall check grillcloth,and put matching vinyl on the front panel of the head.I thought I'd
share these pix with you of the finished head and cab,enjoy..............Steve

I just wanted to say Hi to everyone,and a special thank you to Gary,I've used alot of vinyl and other products from your site and it's been a big help to me. Ron Blacks Fender Deluxe

These pictures were sent by Ron Black and show his Fender Deluxe cabinet that he regrilled. This picture shows the cabinet prepped and ready for the new wheat grill cloth.
And here's the cabinet with the complete grill. As you can see, the new grill cloth is an almost identical match to the original amp sitting next to it. Looks like Ron's got a nice collection of guitars and amps too! Check out the vintage Bassman heads!
Here's a closeup picture. Nice job!

15 inch single bass speaker cabinet

Hello, I would love to attempt a DIY project, I want to build the smallest possible 15 inch bass guiter speaker cabinet. I was wondering if anyone has done this, and has any measurements for the cabinet. I would prefer it to have 1 or 2 4 inch ports. I just purchased an eminence 15 legend speaker if that helps. Any help would be great. Thank you so much......
